Pacquiao has won 12 world titles in his career so far, in eight different weight classes. His first world title victory came with a brutal KO victory, when a teenage Pac-Man knocked out Chatchai Sasakul to win the WBC and lineal Flyweight titles in December 1994.

Arguably, the biggest fight in boxing took place in 2015 when Pacquiao faced off against Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather generated over $600 million, earning both men hundreds of millions in their biggest payday ever, for a fight that had been six years in the making.

Both men commanded the attention of the boxing world, although the fight struggled to live up to the immense hype.

The megafight ended after 12 rounds, where an impressive Mayweather shut down Pacquiao to claim the victory in one of the biggest fights of all time.

Pacquiao became the WBO Welterweight champion after coming out on top in his legendary fight with Miguel Cotto in 2019.

In 2009, Pac-Man embarrassed Ricky Hatton to inflict on him the worst defeat of his career.

The pair faced off for Hatton’s IBO and The Ring Light Welterweight title fight, having lost to Floyd Mayweather two years ago before bouncing back tremendously.

However, he was brought back down to earth just two rounds in. Hatton was unable to cope with the relentless offense of Pacquiao, and lasted less than six minutes before his unconscious head was bounced off the mat in a brutal knockout.

Pacquiao humiliated Oscar De La Hoya when he stopped him in the eighth round of what turned out to be “Golden Boy’s” final fight.

The two legends finally clashed in “The Dream Match”, in what was part of De La Hoya’s planned retirement tour.

However, he cut it short and hung up his gloves after losing to Pacquiao, realizing that he had nothing left to give at the age of 35.

Pacquiao had an exciting trilogy with Erik Morales in a rivalry that lasted throughout 2005 and 2006.

“Pac-Man” shockingly lost the first fight in March 2005, but came back a year later to knock out his opponent in the tenth round.
